About Me

The emerging artist MicroMihai, also known as Mihai Ciobanu, developed an interest in music when, at the age of thirteen, he began experimenting with DAWs like FL Studio 12. He soon realized that what started as a hobby could turn into something more significant; he then put all his effort into professional music production and delved even deeper into the world of digital music, publishing originals and remixes on major music streaming services, including Spotify and Apple Music. As his interest gradually evolved into passion, he let his lifelong companion, technology, get involved by embracing both "Microsoft" and his name, hence the etymology of "MicroMihai". Give his music a simple listen to get in touch with his personality: music has the ability to communicate anything...or does it? It's up to you to find out.🙂

  • What's your story?
    I was born and raised for a while in Romania. Since 2014, I've been living in Italy. I've always had a passion for technology, and only in recent years have I also developed a passion for music. As you can tell from my songs, I don't have much experience, but I'm trying!
  • What do you use to make music?
    From the start, I was attracted to the DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) FL Studio. Its user-friendly interface and variety of plugins and effects allowed me to create music in a short time. I don't deny that I often use samples to compose music. Unfortunately, not having adequate experience, I've never been able to compose a song completely from scratch. Sometimes it happens, though...
  • Who or what inspires you?
    Honestly... Inspiration is often difficult for me. I try to listen to different genres frequently and understand how they did it and how I can replicate their style. Sometimes I get close, other times the idea is totally different and I scrap it. My favorite artists are: Ariana Grande, Eminem, Dr. Dre, TheFatRat and many others. Basically, I have a favorite in every genre (except rock and similar). Yes, these artists have practically no connection between them and their genres are all different. It's no coincidence that I do whatever comes to mind when I create something.
  • Why don't you sing on your songs?
    I'M TONE-DEAF!
